Historical Sites & Museums

Kilmarnock and the Northern Neck are teeming with history.

The Northern Neck area was first explored by Captain John Smith in the early 1600's and later settled in the mid 1660's. George Washington, James Madison, James Monroe, and Robert E. Lee were all born here.

With such a long history, there are plenty of interesting historical sites and museums to visit.
